Paris: Shop-together
Paris is a major world capital for the latest trends!! The choice is limitless and prices vary according to the level. But if you are in Paris, sometimes it is nice to treat yourselves to something special.
In France, large shops are usually open from around 9:30AM to about 8 PM. Many large department stores open until10PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Most shops close all day Sunday.
Champs-Elysees is fun to walk around!! ,cafes and movie theaters, exchange banks, car showrooms, fast-food chains, the Virgin store, Gap, the Disney Store and the stylist Sephora and the Louis Vuitton boutique.
Many boutiques such as Hermès, Chanel (Madeleine), Gucci, and Christian Lacroix(Concorde) Sonia Rykiel(St-Germain-des-Pres) Yves Saint Laurent,( St-Sulpice) Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton (Charles de Gaulle Etoile) can be found easily. The summer Sales in Paris are at the end of June until July, the winter sales, in Paris start around on January 7 until the beginning of February.
Two of the most famous department stores are Printemps (Mon-Sat 9.30am-7pm, Thurs till 10pm.) and Galeries Lafayette (Mon-Sat 9.30am-6.45pm, Thurs till 9pm.) (and may be found side-by -side.( Havre-Caumartin ).
Printemps is even bigger than Galleries Lafayette, they have excellent fashion for women - less so for men.
Galleries Lafayette It has a beautiful glass and steel dome built in 1912 by the architect Cahnautin. The store - all 10 stories of it - is classified as an historic monument. It has very high fashion for men, women and child. There's household stuff, tableware, furniture.
